Vet here, third year in practice. The line I say most at work: dental disease is the quiet killer in dogs. That funky smell is only the start, untreated teeth slowly strain the heart and kidneys too. I still remember an 8 year old lab we saw last spring, his mouth was so rotten we pulled more teeth than we kept. Don't let it get there. Oh my gosh! The consequences of tartar can be this bad! How do I prevent tartar buildup? My dog is only one‑year‑old, but its teeth are already a little yellow with really bad breath. It won’t let me brush its teeth. I’m really worried.😭😭
