BUT a reminder that trans people aren't part of the queer community as some favour because trans people helped the gay folk, we are all part of the community as those outside of and oppressed by heternornativity - gay liberation is dependant on trans liberation and vice versa.

Martha P Johnson identifed as his biological sex: male. And he was simply a drag queen. Calling drag queens transgenders is highly offensive. Not to mention this narrative ignores all the biological female lesbians that did so much for LGB rights in america. Speaking of which, this whole thing is so american centred because let's imagine Martha P is the only reason gays have rights (he isn't) that ONLY applies to America, literally every other european/western country gave LGB rights earlier than America and it had nothing to do with big marsha. It had everything to do with the biological gay males and biological female lesbians protesting for their rights. Straight allies also fought for our rights, should straight be apart of the LGB? Statistically there would've been at least a few pedos protesting for our rights too, should we add them to the community? Like seriously this logic doesn't make any sense.
