It’s ok. Social media makes it seem like everyone isn’t struggling. We don’t post the struggles. Countless people (myself included) are experiencing the same thing as you are. We’re in this together. Time spent caring for yourself or sitting with your emotions is never wasted time. You will grow and grow and grow and grow. I’m sorry tonight is so rough. I’m thinking of you and wishing you well.

I’m 26 and I chose to not be sad about it, even though I deeply wish the same. Instead I’ve decided that this season of life is meant for learning something different. So I baked myself a pumpkin pie threw on a movie and a candle. Then enjoyed some Minecraft♥️I so deeply wish I could share those experiences but at the same time I think I’m learning what I truly enjoy doing outside of others. So in the pain I’ve been trying to dig for the beauty.

I’m 28! I wore a super cute costume, saw the parade in the village, and stopped at every chic bar I could find. It wasn’t fun. I was surrounded by thousands of other young people desperately looking around for “fun.” Like it was in some corner of a bar they hadn’t been to yet. In the center of the city, with the prettiest people, it was a room of people not finding what they were looking for. I’ve spent plenty of holidays in the same place you are right now, thinking about how green the grass was where I wasn’t. Connection, friendship, and love are the best things in the world, wherever they are found. I’m looking for mine, you’ll find yours too.
