There’s no way anything is surpassing the 1995 adaptation.

Great review, totes agree that Austen is meant to be bring the whimsy and this was def missing from the 90s version which focused on Lizzie and Darcy. I am looking forward to forward to this and as I’ve said before I did enjoy Netflix Persuasion precisely because it didn’t take itself seriously

I’m so excited to see Olivia Colman as Mrs Bennet she’s my favorite casting decision I’m still skeptical about Louis Partridge as Mr. Wickham depending what they do with his character. I’m open to see this new version

The 2005 version for me can’t be topped. But I am looking forward to the series. I just can’t see it being better than that..

Emma is hilarious. Love that book and enjoy both movies. The mini series is pretty good too. I guess I'll check out this new version of Pride and Prejudice. I wasn't too excited about the casting at first.

People citing 2005 as flawless are delulu, the wigs alone are giving me hives. But I am looking forward to this new adaptation.
