@lisaremillard: #midterms #presidenttrump #votingrights Late last night a federal judge in California issued a temporary restraining order against the Trump administration. The TRO blocks the Departments of Homeland Security and Justice from continuing their threats and intimidation tactics being used against state and local election officials across the country. As I have been reporting the Trump administration has aggressively been going after what it sees as a vast conspiracy by the states to allow noncitizen voters on official voting rolls. The judge’s order says that DOJ and DHS have to knock it off because they are violating federal law and the constitution.
