YES! I give out candy every year. I tell everyone it’s my time to pay back. I get the large bars from Costco. They go on sale for 20. I figured it cheaper given 1 large then 4 or 5 small mini. This year we bought two box candy 60 large bars and 60 bags of chips. If teenagers come we give it out. There is very few places for teens to hang out.

no, I’ve been adult for a very long time and we decorate our house with real props real animatronics fog you name it good candy and we get fewer fewer people every year because of trunk or treats

we just got 5lbs of candy and fought crowds of 100s people in the neighborhoods here. I'm very thankful we still have it here

Trunk or treats aren’t on Halloween where I live they are usually the weeks before and then we also do regular trick or treating on Halloween. That might be a Midwest thing though.

It could also be your neighbors. If only one person on the street is handing out candy, the parents will go to another neighborhood. Thankful we live in a neighborhood that hands out candy and my kids get to experience it.

Where do yall live, cause my neighborhood has hundreds of kids hitting houses in droves and almost every house decorated with families sitting out on the steps and porches passing out candy.

I had a few boxes of full sized candy. Got 7 trick or treaters. The last 3 girls made out like bandits. I think they got 10-15 bars each.

My kid and I drove around to look at decorations; there were so many people walking in the streets & ditches with little kids and they were dodging cars because there are no sidewalks in several of the neighborhoods.

Also, you can’t complain about kids all year round in your neighborhood; what they’re doing, the noise they make, how they behave, etc. and then expect them to come to your house on Halloween.

Yeah it’s more parents don’t want to take their kids out and a lot of people don’t open their homes. Every place I’ve lived, i buy candy and then nothing. I took my kid and then later let them go on their own with friends. Which for some reason shocked a few parents.

I walked around for over and hours, in a different spot of my town. you might get 3 to 4 house if you are lucky and if one of the houses are popular.

I had like 10 kids tonight. had the whole yard decorated bought 4 pounds of candy. made little cauldron gifts for any kids who doesnt like candy. and almost noone else in my neighborhood was passing candy out. so idk if im gonna do it again next yr

Last year I had about half left over. This year I made about 38 baggies of candy and I’m currently waiting for the last 5 to go. So I’d say I was luckier this year. The difference? I added my house to the trick or treat map on the neighborhood app
