Although I am not sure what was happening, in the first day she has told that alive infant with borderline aminotic fluid (no other abnormal findings) then at H. institution she was appointed a/r 15 days. That is the correct management according to the Ethiopian obstetric protocol as far as no other complications. while she came on day 13 (on Friday) b/r appointment due to labor initiation, if the Health care provider said ("you are ok and fetal heart beat is positive go back to home" for the dead fetus), that is absolutely an ethical, H.care provider should alowyes conscious. And then at ultrasound the way they break the bad news not correct (if they did as the customer said). Laughing with their own issues prior to breaking the bad news may not be the problem, but saying directly (ይቅርታ እንግዴህ የልጅሽ የልብ ምት ቆሟል) is not professionally ethical (if was real). እና በቸልተኝነት የሚለው ውሀ አያነሳም ምክንያቱም ሌላ ተጨማሪ ተጓዳኝ የጤና ችግር እስከሌለ ድረስ በኢትዮጵያ obstetrical protocol ለ borderline oligohydramnios ከዚህ ያለፈ ልዩ ህክምና አይጠበቅም::

first of all I'm sorry for what was happened to u,the institution should come up with response,BC complications can happen but if borderline oligohydramnios frequent appointments is important at least after 1 week,so it need clarification from both side.

A low amniotic fluid index is an emergency....but 8.5 is not very low depending on what week you are in..... you should sue them.

first of all sorry for your loss, the ultrasound result, borderline oligohydraminos (<8cm) doesn't go in line but decrease fetal movements should not be ignored, and they should have told you if u didn't feel fetal movements and the way they disclosed was not ethical....but for the interviewer u are not right by presenting this issue here, u r doing repeatedly and please u r not helping the community be carefull....

Nothing went wrong except the way they informed/treated you. They were medically correct and ethically wrong.Amniotic fluid of index of 8.5 is absolutely normal and appointing after 2 weeks is also correct.

I don't think so there was a mistake from the healthcare system ,per your discreption it seems that the amniotic fluid was adequate(8.5 is not borderline considering it as AFI) .in addition you complained decreased fetal movement,you were scanned with ultrasound and you were informed about the fetal death ,otherwise it may be difficult to detect fetal heart beat with fetoscope as your body habitus may create difficulty in auscultation.but i doubt that you were provided compassionate care from the health care providers per your discreption.
