I don't let kids and teens pick their own candy anymore. Girlies know how to pick only one or two, but non of the boys do. So now they all get handed only one piece per person and told exactly why.

So don't be lazy humans can't be trusted sit out there and hand out candy or don't participate because putting out a bowl is the equivalent of not participating you might have one or two honest people at the beginning but chances are the first person or one of the first will steal the entire bowl

and its usually teen who do it too. one year we had big chocolate bars on our table outside and we were giving them out to little kids with good costumes, some teens dressed as play boy bunny came up and stole them when we weren't looking. we hadn't even passed them out to any kids yet too! parents need to raise their kids better, im so sorry this happened to you.

I mean its lame that some kids stole it but I do believe the saying goes "trick or treat" if you were home why weren't you *answering the door and handing it out* 😭 it's *halloween*, you're lucky you didnt get TPd. Like, are you jot also ruining it by contributing to halloween being a boring interaction between children and lifeless porches and closed doors?

my mom was watching thru the doorbell camera (we were taking the kids trick or treating) and we left some candy out and a kid gon say “just take the bowl!” mom said “NO. DONT.” and told my dad to take it inside. ppl ruin everything for others.

so much litter too!!! if you are eating candy while trick or treating, DONT LIVE THE FREAKING WRAPPERS ALL OVER THE ROAD!! halloween is dying, there used to be so many more people and the only littering was wind blowing wrappers out of bags and there would still only be a few wrappers. nothing like how it is now.

I’ve seen people say put sand at the bottom of the bowl with something between it and the candy so anyone who tips the bowl into their bag gets the sand too whilst stopping it touching the candy when it is in the bowl
