@tenouttatendo: CANELO ALVAREZ TAKES MBILLI TO SCHOOL AND BECOMES A CHAMPION AGAIN! 🏆🔥🥊 [RINGSIDE REPLAY!] . Canelo Alvarez has just become a THREE-TIME super-middleweight champion after cleanly defeating Christian Mbilli via unanimous decision and picking up his WBC title in the process! Truth be told, the first four rounds were a difficult reintroduction to the ring for Canelo after his year-long hiatus post-Crawford as Mbilli looked to press forwards and throw *anything* he could think of to push the former champion backwards - whilst Canelo (despite being more accurate) was forced to carefully pick his counters on the backfoot and even the ropes. As a result, Mbilli’s output was more eye-catching and had many observers placing him at least a round or two ahead going into the sixth and giving Alvarez a bit of an uphill battle as the second half of the fight started. However, this isn’t exactly Canelo’s first rodeo. He remained composed and unabashed in the face of adversity, never looked like he lost control of the task at hand and selected precise counter shots around and underneath Mbilli’s high guard to incrementally break down the tumultuous storm headed his way. After a particularly strange moment in which Canelo seemed to order the referee to deduct a point (and the referee seemed to acquiesce for whatever reason), it seemed as if Mbilli had the wind knocked out of him once Canelo finally found a home for his signature sneaky counter uppercut - allowing the challenger to gain a unassailable lead on the cards as the fight drew to a conclusion. Mbilli attempted to rally in the final two rounds but it was ultimately too little and far too late for the champion as Canelo cruised to yet another championship victory! It looks like after over 400 days, a failed rematch negotiation with Crawford and an elbow surgery, Canelo is BACK! .
