You have to build up your trick or treaters - first year at my house I had 11 trick or treaters - this year and last year I had a line and had hundreds of kids come through - many parents told me they had specifically mentioned our house and that they had to come - keep at it!

My son got scared seeing an inflatable squidward costume, and wanted to go home. I told him that’s not an option. He walked about 4 miles and had a blast! It’s slowly being revived by parents who are stepping up.

Millennial here - I am so sorry, I'd give you mine if I could! We got 734 kids! (I know because I hand out candy canes every year and count up how many boxes at the end lol)

It poured here in Az and there were so many kids out. We went from 5-6 because i have little ones but i was surprised how many actually braved the rain

I was sitting at my table in the dining room. I noticed two kids walking to the door, didn't even knock, just walked away.. by the time I got to the door they were gone. it's sad. keep my lights on for 3 hours in hope someone would come... no one did.

Sadly, now you need to sit outside for kids to come. so many people with porch lights on that dont answer, kids dont even try unless they readily see you.

Unless you live in one of those neighborhoods that goes all out. Trunk or treats is where it’s at. You know the candy is safe and you don’t have walk 10 miles in the wind and cold.
