Saudi Arabia Suspends Travel and Visas From Kenya Over Ebola Concerns Saudi Arabia has introduced new travel restrictions involving Kenya as part of precautionary measures aimed at preventing the spread of Ebola. Under the measures, Saudi citizens are prohibited from travelling to Kenya, while the Kingdom has suspended the issuance of all categories of visas to travellers from the East African country. Saudi authorities have also barred entry to travellers who have stayed in Kenya or another country experiencing an active Ebola outbreak within the 21 days before arriving in Saudi Arabia. The restriction also applies to passengers who travel through third countries. The measures were announced on October 30 following an assessment of the Ebola situation by Saudi health authorities, according to the Saudi Press Agency. Saudi Arabia says the restrictions are intended to reduce the risk of the virus entering the Kingdom. Authorities are also maintaining health surveillance and precautionary screening at entry points, with additional measures to be considered as the situation develops. The announcement comes as Kenya continues to respond to an Ebola outbreak. Kenyan authorities have reported nine confirmed infections and two deaths, with cases linked to a single cluster. The restrictions are expected to affect travel between the two countries, including journeys for employment, business, education and religious purposes. Saudi authorities have not specified how long the measures will remain in place. #SaudiArabia , #kenya , #ebola , #restrictions , #visa
