Abrom Kaplan’s bowtie and the photo is the tell of something much deeper than just Jewish immigration. Black and white photo… 3 horizontal stripes on the left, 3 horizontal stripes on the right. Kaplan still has a very strong crypto identity in Freemasonry, Kabbalah, mysticism, etc. to this day. Can’t prove it, but that is the point… it’s just a photo… just a bowtie.
