A Dopamine Menu is a list of feel-good activities that you can reach for the next time you’re feeling like you need that hit of dopamine. If you struggle with impulsive spending—this is a great tool you can use to get dopamine without hurting your wallet 🤑 The goal is to replace the habit of shopping with a different habit that doesn’t cost you anything. We’re harnessing habit formation theory here, so we want to reduce as much friction as possible!! A great way to achieve this is by making the cue (the dopamine menu) as visible as possible. AKA post it on your fridge, or make your phone background so that you are constantly seeing it 👀 An easy, low effort way to get started is by making your Dopamine Menu in your notes app or jotting it down on paper. It doesn’t have to be aesthetic to be effective 🫶🏻 What activities do you have your Dopamine Menu? ⬇️ #dopaminemenu #dopaminedollars #adhdandmoney #adhdfinance #impulsespending

As mom’s, especially moms who are shopping with children, and babies at that, we already have so much anxiety and we are under so much stress. Just praying that our shopping trip doesn’t end with tantrums, or babies crying, or anything that could possibly go wrong. @H&M I was actually able to find 6 to 7 dresses that I was going to try on for this wedding literally in two days. My baby was in the best mood and everything was going right. When I went to the dressing room, I immediately saw that they were bigger rooms towards the back and so that’s where I headed. There was a woman in front of me and she went into the bigger room and I know that she saw me behind her with a Stroller. I tried to make the smaller room that was open work, but it just was way too small and I could not fit in there and comfortably try on clothes with a stroller. There was also a second bigger one, but the curtain was closed so I assumed that someone was in there trying on. While I was waiting for the other woman to finish in the other bigger room, I saw zero movement in that dressing room but I didn’t want to go and open the curtain and there be someone that I just couldn’t see. Finally a sales associate came back there after I had already been standing there for 15 minutes and I had asked her if she could check the dressing room because I had been standing there a while. I didn’t see any movement and I needed a bigger dressing room because I had the stroller. She proceeded to tell me that she was not going to go open the curtain or check to see if anyone was in there and walked away. I then waited about 20 more minutes, hoping that this woman would finish trying on so that I could have the other bigger room. And this whole time Penelope was so good and I just was counting down the minutes until a crying fest was coming. Finally, I couldn’t wait any longer and I just put my clothes on a random rack and went back up to Abercrombie. I’m not upset that the woman in front of me took the bigger room. I’m also not a confrontational person especially with my children with me. I just think that mom‘s with kids shopping, especially when we’re trying to shop for ourselves deserve a little better. I am however, upset with that sales associate that couldn’t just go down to the end and check to see if someone was in there so I could’ve gone in the bigger room. All she had to do was speak aloud and ask if someone was in there. Needless to say I should have never left @aber@abercrombie & fitchuse one the customer service was great, the fitting room was great and I was in and out in 10 minutes. Moms with babies who are trying to shop for themselves when they don’t have access to child care DESERVE BETTER. #momfail #postpartumbody #momlifestyle #motherhoodunfiltered #momrant
