When they still alive dont bother...not everyone but once they gone...just for the sake of own goodness we are doing this..so that escape from sins... just a thought...i might be wrong. not to pin point anyone ...its everyone's wish to do anythg that they like....

Every priest says something different. Last year, they said we should not eat the food and should take it to the river or feed the crows. This year, another priest says we must eat it. So what are we supposed to do? Every year, the instructions, keep changing. Next year, maybe they will tell us not to prepare the offerings at all! Honestly, it gives us a headache. Let's just follow the traditions our parents and elders followed. Whether we eat the food or not, just do the rituals the same way we do at home. That's all.
