Claude just killed their own model. Opus 5.5 used to be my favorite model of all time. It was so good and so quick. Now it's failing the most basic task on the exact same Claude skills. Here's how it looks to me. Step one: launch an insane model that wins on all benchmarks. Step two: get everyone to switch to the $200 a month plan. Step three: dilute it so it costs less compute and saves a little bit of money. And it's not only Anthropic doing it. There really should be some transparency, because getting people on a subscription and then making the product terrible is basically stealing.
