I wonder what dna test you did, lots of the mainstream ones (definitely my heritage) puts southern Italian for people who are Palestinian as it is an Israeli company. It told me I was 50% southern Italian and I submitted my raw data to other companies that corrected it to Palestinian. My mother is 100% Palestinian.

its not 100% accurate, i took a dna test a few years ago(the same one u took) and then it was pretty accurate and then they added an update where they added.a few ethnicites and then i got COMPLETELY different results. it said i was from countries like albania and greece (which i have absoloutely no connection to)

It can be completely accurate. A lot of Palestinians actually come from Egypt. I am sure your mum knows her family history and the last names are a good indication too

I'm mixed ethnicity and I would say don't trust your results! It determines your ethnic group by comparing it to a sample population. mixed ethnicity people are harder to compare it with so you get unreliable results.
