Centuries-old headstones, winding pathways, and stories that blur the lines between history and legend. There’s the heartwarming tale of Greyfriars Bobby, the little dog who became a symbol of loyalty. Gravestones with names familiar to Harry Potter fans. And, of course, the infamous Mackenzie Poltergeist, said to haunt the kirkyard to this day. But what I loved most was the atmosphere. Standing among those weathered stones, with Edinburgh’s historic buildings rising around me, I couldn’t help but wonder about all the stories buried there. This is the Scotland I love.
