@therightwinguncut: Former college football star comes out as gay to his girlfriend before using his three-year-old son as a human shield during a shootout with police. Officers say they were called to the scene in Las Vegas and found 28-year-old Quinton Baker. He was reportedly walking down the stairs with three-year-old Kentre Baker in his arms, pointing a handgun at the child. Baker allegedly threatened to take his own life and his son's life, and officers demanded that he drop the weapon. An on-scene supervisor shouted, "Take the shot," and two officers fired. Officers say Baker fired four shots during the confrontation. Both Baker and his son Kentre were killed. It's unclear if the toddler was killed by one of the officers' bullets or by Baker. Baker played football at Western Kentucky University. The shootout came moments after he got into a fight with his girlfriend, Raneka Pate, after coming out as gay, according to the Daily Mail.
