Okay but to be fair women are constantly socialized into never taking men’s mistreatment/inconsistency at face value but always seeking excuses for them and assuming there’s an interest he can’t for some reason communicate (because we’re used to the idea that men don’t communicate properly so they don’t even expect them to) and never conclude he might just not be into them. So I don’t think avoidants approach is healthy but sometimes it comes from a place of wanting to be realistic but ending up being too definitive

I think relationships and humans are more complicated than if he likes you, you wouldn’t be confused. There are good men out there that were traumatized by other women and struggling to heal. They meet you, like you but struggle with it, and you get hot and cold. I’m not saying you have to tolerate it, just saying that the phrase itself isn’t merit enough.
