@cliffbuell: While many Christians debate whether they should take part in Halloween, actor Kirk Cameron is encouraging believers to think about the people who will be knocking on their doors. His challenge is to leave the porch light on, welcome families, and use the opportunity to share the hope of Jesus Christ. Instead of responding to the world with fear, Christians can respond with truth, love, and courage. A simple conversation, a kind welcome, or a Gospel message could plant a seed in someone's heart. Jesus told His followers in Matthew 5:16 to let their light shine before others. We do not have to celebrate everything the world celebrates. But we should never miss an opportunity to show people the love of Christ. This Halloween, let your home be a place where people see the light of Jesus.
