Honestly, that didn't even seem like wordplay. That was a simple task. You're telling me this man is smart enough to control practically all of hell, but he couldn't connect the dot that a single touch would free Alastor?

Low-key.. Alastor’s plan WAS SO FUCKING SMART!! He WILLINGLY surrendered to Vox on the condition that Vox doesn’t lay a hand on Charlie, cashes in his favor to make Charlie declare Vox the strongest sinner in hell.. breaking Alastor’s deal with Rosie.. and he KNEW Vox would screw up and touch Charlie.. Vox didn’t even catch how Alastor worded his condition. Remember this particular part.. (“This doesn’t count?! I DIDN’T HURT HER!!” “I didn’t say not to hurt her. I said ‘you’re not to lay a hand on her’. And you DID!”) Alastor didn’t say Vox couldn’t hurt Charlie. He said he couldn’t TOUCH Charlie.. and since Vox did that, his deal with VOX is now broken too.. freeing Alastor from BOTH his deals.. and now he’s no longer restrained by Vox OR Rosie.
