@viralsanctuarysports: MIAMI SURVIVES: No. 1 Miami beat North Carolina 38-35 in Chapel Hill on Saturday night, and the ending was pure chaos. North Carolina led 28-24 in the fourth quarter. Miami answered twice: a strip-sack defensive touchdown and a Mark Fletcher Jr. score with about 7 minutes left to take the lead for good. Then the final 1:38 turned into something you almost never see. North Carolina recovered an onside kick, and a flag for offsides wiped it out. North Carolina recovered the second onside kick too, and an illegal block wiped that one out as well. Miami finally recovered the third try and ran out the clock. Darian Mensah finished 22 of 29 for 274 yards and 3 touchdowns. North Carolina quarterback Edwards threw for 341 yards and 4 touchdowns in the loss. Bill Belichick's Tar Heels fall to 4-4, Miami rolls on at 8-0. Our take: championship teams are supposed to survive one night like this every season, but two recovered onside kicks erased by penalties is the kind of luck that makes a fan base believe the year is charmed. Did Miami escape, or did North Carolina give it away? For more interesting posts like this, follow @viralsanctuarysports Sources: USA Today, NBC Sports.
