@bambiandbee: Squirtle needs a home or placement with a rescue by 11/2 at 3pm. I am willing to donate tanks to the rescue that pulls him. Please do not let him die over an eye infection. 🐢AID A1441836 📍655 N Mojave Rd 🚗Head down to The Animal Foundation to pick him up, they do not take calls. Notes from the shelter: This turtle has a swollen eye likely due to infection. He is not tolerating his treatment well in the shelter and would benefit from a partner that can better work with him to medicate him regularly. Due to his discomfort, he is looking for placement by 11/2/26 3pm. #turtle #lasvegas #rescue

Even though they are closed, you can still pick up fosters on Mondays! Just email the foster department and if you dont hear a prompt response, head down there asap.

Adopting a shelter pet means giving an animal a second chance at life, safety, and love. These dogs and cats didn’t choose their circumstances, but they’re full of loyalty, personality, and gratitude just waiting to be shared with the right person. When you adopt, you’re not just bringing home a companion you’re freeing up space for another animal in need and choosing compassion over profit. Shelter pets make incredible family members, best friends, and soul companions. Adoption truly saves lives, one forever home at a time.

As a turtle rescue mom, I am so heartbroken and upset at how many turtles are bred, only to wind up in shelters like GARBAGE. Despicable.
