@dragonsportscentral: 🚨🔵 CARLTON’S FIRST PREMIERSHIP IN 31 YEARS?! 🏆🤯 Could Chris Fagan be the man to finally lead the Blues back to the promised land?! 🔥 The Carlton Football Club has officially entered a fascinating new chapter, with former Brisbane Lions premiership coach Chris Fagan joining the Blues as Director of Coaching ahead of the 2027 AFL season! 🤝 And suddenly, the question on every Carlton supporter’s mind is… COULD THIS BE THE BEGINNING OF SOMETHING SPECIAL? 👀 It’s been a LONG wait for the Navy Blues. Carlton last lifted the premiership cup in 1995, when they defeated Geelong in the Grand Final. That’s more than THREE DECADES without a flag! 🏆 For one of the most successful clubs in AFL/VFL history, that drought has been incredibly difficult to watch. But could the arrival of Fagan be the missing piece? Let’s look at what this appointment could mean for Carlton! 🔵 🧠 1. CHRIS FAGAN’S EXPERIENCE Fagan knows exactly what it takes to build a premiership-winning football club. He transformed Brisbane into one of the most consistent teams in the competition, culminating in three consecutive Grand Final appearances and the ultimate success in 2024. His experience in developing players, building culture and creating a winning environment could be incredibly valuable for Carlton. While he won’t be taking over as senior coach, his influence behind the scenes could be massive. Could he help Carlton develop the mentality required to win a premiership? 💪 2. THE BLUES HAVE THE TALENT Carlton have had some seriously talented players over recent years. Patrick Cripps, Charlie Curnow, Harry McKay, Sam Walsh, Jacob Weitering and plenty of others have shown they can compete against the best. The Blues have already demonstrated that they can make a serious push towards September success. But turning potential into consistent premiership contention is the biggest challenge. Could Fagan help unlock another level from this playing group? 🏆 3. THE 31-YEAR PREMIERSHIP DROUGHT Carlton supporters have been waiting since 1995 to see their club win another premiership. There have been rebuilds, heartbreaking finals defeats, coaching changes and plenty of disappointment along the way. The Blues have reached the Grand Final twice since their last premiership, in 1999 and 2023, but haven’t been able to get over the line. The hunger for another flag is enormous. Imagine what it would mean to Carlton supporters if they finally brought the cup back to Ikon Park! 🔥 4. CAN FAGAN HELP BUILD A PREMIERSHIP CULTURE? This might be the biggest part of his appointment. Fagan has already experienced what it takes to build a successful football program. Brisbane’s journey wasn’t overnight. It took years of development, belief, recruitment and hard work before they finally became premiers. Carlton will be hoping he can bring some of that experience and knowledge into their football department. Could his influence be just what the Blues need? 🔵 5. IS 2027 THE BEGINNING OF A NEW ERA? With Fagan arriving as Director of Coaching, there will be enormous expectations surrounding Carlton heading into 2027. The Blues have a passionate supporter base, a talented list and a history that demands success. But the question remains: how far away are they really from winning another premiership? Can they challenge the likes of Brisbane, Collingwood and the other premiership contenders? Could Carlton finally become a genuine powerhouse again? Or is there still plenty of work to do? 👇 HAVE YOUR SAY! 🔵 Can Chris Fagan help Carlton win their FIRST PREMIERSHIP IN 31 YEARS? 🏆 Will Carlton win a premiership before 2030? 🤝 Is Fagan the perfect appointment for the Blues? 👀 Could the 2027 season be the beginning of Carlton’s next premiership era?
