From Cowboy to Lawyer: Umaru Sanda Amadu Celebrated as He Launches Foundation in Osudoku The remarkable journey of Umaru Sanda Amadu, from a cowboy to a journalist and now a lawyer, has been celebrated on 1st November 2026 at a ceremony marking his Call to the Bar and the official launch of the Umaru Sanda Foundation at Osudoku, Asutsuare Junction School Park. The event brought together government officials, traditional authorities, including the Paramount Chief of Osudoku State, ahis Royal Majesty Nene Kweku Otiti Animle VII, Assembly Members from the Shai-Osudoku District Assembly, students and community members. Chief of Staff Hon. Julius Debrah encouraged students and parents not to allow their present circumstances to limit their aspirations, stressing that their beginnings do not determine their future. The Paramount Chief of Osudoku state also appealed to the government, through the Chief of Staff, to consider dividing the Shai-Osudoku District to accelerate development in the Osudoku enclave. Meanwhile, the Shai-Osudoku GES Director, Mrs. Zila Nyanko, commended the celebrant for his contributions to education, while the Paramount Chief urged him to use his legal profession to uphold justice and serve humanity. Sharing his inspiring life story, Lawyer Umaru Sanda Amadu reflected on his journey and expressed sadness that his late parents were not alive to witness his achievements. Students who attended the ceremony said his story had inspired them to remain focused, determined and committed to their education. The celebration ended with cultural performances and interactions among guests. Report by Isaac Dzimado✍️
