I think this overlooks the difference between micromanaging your partner and holding them accountable. Trusting someone to handle their responsibilities only works if they've shown they're capable of doing so consistently. Women shouldn't have to constantly remind their partners to contribute, but they also shouldn't be made to feel like they're the problem for expecting it.
