@getlostinpieces: gracie abrams was both romeo and juliet on ‘saturday night live’ tonight. as the musical guest on tonight’s halloween episode, gracie performed two songs in costume: “hit the wall,” from ‘daughter from hell,’ and “here you come, there you go,” from the album’s upcoming deluxe version. for “hit the wall,” she took the stage in an ethereal white gown and angel wings, à la claire danes’ portrayal of juliet in baz luhrmann’s 1996 drama ‘romeo + juliet.’ she even started the song by recreating the film’s iconic party scene, where the titular star-crossed lovers lock eyes through a fish tank. next up was the live debut of “here you come, there you go,” which just dropped a few days ago. gracie belted it out while wearing a hawaiian shirt and armor, in homage to leonardo dicaprio’s romeo. what did you think of gracie’s performance and her ‘romeo + juliet’-inspired costumes?! #gracieabrams #snl #saturdaynightlive #romeoandjuliet
