@livefaith247: Death comes to us all, but it is the 'dying by degrees' that really sucks! My mom was discharged with a large blister on her upper right thigh, so they dropped the ball big time. Now we need a fast diagnosis, because it could be Steven-Johnsson Syndrome, which causes rapid organ failure and death. If it is another auto-immune condition called 'Bulbous Phemigoid', it is still serious , because the treatment is cortisone, or anti-biotic's, or meds to try stop the immune system attacking itself and every single one of these drug's has negative side effect's and in an 89 year old, everything is fragile. Waiting to hear about her temp and bp, plus any new blister's, which will indicate which of the two it is, but the first causes itchiness and pain, which did not seem to affect my mom yesterday. Trying not to panic. Got to take it one step at a time. We need a skin biopsy from outside the intact blister first, but it will require readmittance to hospital and a Specialist Physician needs to be involved re correct diagnosis and treatment plan. Eish!
