@thestarshipguy: Starfleet never stopped using the name. This is a Constitution class from the 32nd century, 1,399 metres long with a crew of up to 2,000. When Owosekun saw it she called it a new Constitution. Eaglemoss had it in the pipeline and never got there. The tooling master for this model was already made when the company collapsed. Fanhome bought what was left and finally released it. Named for Neil Armstrong, almost certainly, though the show never says so. The class itself was only named at all when a Shipyards reference book put the name to it in 2021. Star Trek Online calls it the Kirk class instead.
