@dietitianerycca: How to serve mango for your 6-month-old 🥭 🥭 Serve the pit: peeled, with most of the flesh removed. Great for gnawing 🔪 Or cut finger-length, thick spears ✅ Ripe only. It should squash easily between your fingers. Unripe mango is firm and slippery 🔥 Still firm? Poach the spears until they squash easily 🌾 Mango is slippery, so coat it in hemp seeds or shredded coconut 🧦 Bonus grip hack: put a clean, snug baby sock on one end of the pit. Stay close, and remove it if baby pulls it off. 💡 Mango has vitamins A, C and E, plus fibre and folate. Mango allergy is rare. If baby is allergic to cashew or pistachio, skip the pit. The flesh is usually fine. Always stay with baby during meals. 🌱 Every baby learns to eat at their own pace. These tips are general guidance, so adjust them to your baby’s skills and needs. #BLW #babyledweaning #howtoserve #firstfoods #startingsolids
