@thesameerproject: Walking to school should never mean risking your life. But in Gaza, children navigate roads covered in rubble, sharp metal, and scattered shrapnel. Damaged buildings crumble along the roadside, and near the yellow-line, gunfire can be heard close by. Listenl to Sumaya’s story. No child should have to face these dangers just to reach a classroom! And no child should have to make that journey without proper shoes. On October 20, our team distributed 285 pairs of shoes and 288 pairs of socks to children at Dar Al Huda School in the Beit Lahia Project area, with support from our partners at Small Steps Project. The shoes, socks, and transportation cost $3,573 after commission. A pair of shoes cannot remove the dangers surrounding these children. But it can protect their feet and ease one daily hardship as they hold on to their education through the genocide. Please donate so we can reach more children with the essentials they deserve.
