Why couldn't he reunite with his wife and son at the end? It's such a shame! This series is absolutely captivating. After fighting so hard to win the heart of the woman he loves, he didn't even get the happy ending he deserved. His father died in the war, his mother died too, and so did his two best friends… Wow! What a tragic and heartbreaking ending! I have to admit, though, that this is an exceptional series: captivating, emotional, and full of suspense. It keeps you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end, takes you through so many emotions, and makes you deeply attached to the characters. But after everything he went through, after so many sacrifices and so much suffering, seeing him die too… It's truly heartbreaking. We would have loved to see him finally enjoy his love and reunite with his family. What a tragic ending!
