The loading process is a highly complex technical operation that takes several hours to complete. - The RS-24 Yars is a Russian intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) powered by a three-stage solid-fuel rocket system. It is approximately 20–23 meters long, around 2 m. in diameter, has an estimated range of 10,000–12,000 km, and can reportedly reach speeds of around Mach 20 or 24,501 km/h. - The missile can carry Multiple Independently Targetable Reentry Vehicles (MIRVs), allowing multiple nuclear warheads to separate and strike different targets. Open-source estimates suggest that each warhead has a yield in the hundreds of kilotons. The Yars is deployed in both underground silo-based and road-mobile Transporter-Erector-Launcher (TEL) configurations, serving as a key component of Russia’s nuclear deterrent forces.
