@ourlove1001: Fans have been wondering about Jack Nicholson for years, and now Michael Douglas is offering a reassuring update about his longtime friend. Speaking in Swansea, Wales, while promoting his memoir *One Helluva Ride*, Douglas revealed that Nicholson is doing well but has largely stepped away from public life. "He's not working any more. He's well. He has disappeared. I know that," Douglas said, according to *People*. The two actors have shared a friendship dating back to the mid-1970s, when Douglas worked as a producer on *One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest*. Nicholson won an Oscar for his performance in the film. Douglas also admitted that he wishes they had worked together on screen. "I still see him, but he is fine," he explained, adding that Nicholson spends time near his home, walking around in his slippers. Nicholson, now 89, has not appeared in a major motion picture since 2010's *How Do You Know*. He has also made very few public appearances in recent years, occasionally showing up at Los Angeles Lakers games. However, he surprised fans in 2025 with an appearance introducing Adam Sandler during *Saturday Night Live's* 50th anniversary celebration. For now, Douglas says his old friend is doing well and enjoying a quieter life. **Do you think Jack Nicholson made the right choice by stepping away from Hollywood and enjoying his privacy?** #JackNicholson #MichaelDouglas #HollywoodLegends #CelebrityNews #entertainmentnews
