@more9ja: KATSINA 2027: TINUBU-DIKKO CAMPAIGN CONVOY REPORTEDLY ATTACKED AGAIN IN FASKARI The Tinubu-Dikko Campaign Council has reportedly suffered another setback after suspected angry youths attacked its campaign convoy in Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State on Saturday. Reports indicate that several campaign vehicles were vandalised, while some were allegedly set ablaze. A number of people were also said to have sustained varying degrees of injuries during the incident. The latest attack comes barely four days after the campaign’s flag-off rally in Funtua was reportedly disrupted. Similar incidents involving campaign vehicles were also reported along routes in Malumfashi and communities in Kankara Local Government Area. Interestingly, the three LGAs where the reported incidents occurred are home to prominent members of the Katsina State Government’s Executive Council. The Governor’s Chief of Staff, Abdulkadir Nasir, hails from Malumfashi; the Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Garba, is from Faskari; while Deputy Governor Faruk Jobe comes from Kankara. In response to the incidents, the Tinubu-Dikko Campaign Council, through its Media Directorate, called on security agencies to investigate the attacks, establish the circumstances surrounding them and prosecute anyone found responsible in accordance with the law. The Council also appealed to political parties, supporters and other stakeholders to exercise restraint, avoid inflammatory statements and refrain from circulating unverified information capable of escalating political tensions in the state.
