During the visit, President Isaias and his delegation participated at the 3rd Russia-Africa Summit. The President held a meeting with President Vladimir Putin for extensive talks on bilateral ties as well as other issues of mutual importance. In the meeting, Eritrea and Russia agreed to bolster their cooperation in the energy, technology, mining and agricultural sectors. President Isaias and his delegation also met with the Minister of Transport, Mr. Dmitry Yardov, and discussed enhancement of broad bilateral cooperation on infrastructural projects in land, sea and air transport.
