High school educator of 16 years, and the best schools I’ve taught have been in the hood in different boroughs. The worst have been in the mostly white schools. Mean spirited, racist lil kids. I understand there’s a safety issue, but let’s talk about how it starts with parents. Then let’s talk about fixing the school systems and providing more resources in these underserved communities.
