every single female mammal in nature chews the umbilical cord off leaving only a tiny amount which naturally falls off , if the mom doesnt eat the placenta and chew the cord off the baby usually dies , the mom licks the baby clean after birth also and than let's it dry out and become fluffy and after all the babies are born the mom immiditely starts breastfeeding, doesnt matter what type of mammal it is all land mammals do the same exact thing when giving birth, anyone who would think its a good idea to leave it connected and rot is completely going against everything nature tells us
