There are errands, appointments, school commitments and social engagements. The family calendar is full. But ask yourself: Are all these activities actually improving family life? Are the children getting enough rest? Are the adults making time to connect? Is everybody constantly exhausted? Sometimes families become so busy managing activities that they forget to enjoy one another. Not every weekend needs to be packed. Not every child needs to participate in every available activity. Not every invitation must be accepted. There is value in leaving room for rest, spontaneous conversations and ordinary moments together.
