In New South Wales alone, nearly 300 GPs have completed additional training, with specialist support available when needed. Meanwhile, England is reviewing how ADHD assessments should work, with many patients facing lengthy waits. Of course, training standards, thorough assessments and patient safety are essential. But could properly trained GPs help reduce the pressure on specialist services here?
