My three year old consistently tells us he’s not hungry at dinner time, but when we put him to bed he is suddenly starving and will cry for food. It happens almost every day

Alright, but if my daughter likes one food on that plate but doesn’t want the others she’ll just keep asking for more of that one food she likes and if I don’t give it to her she’ll just refuse to eat the other food 🤦♀️

Looking back on the past (almost) 4 yrs of my daughters life, there’s some days she lives on air. Some days she eats more than I do. People always compliment how she’s willing to try new foods when we are out, but at home she wants her comfort foods. I’ve learned you should evaluate you kids diet by the month, not the day or even the week lol

I taught my daughter “all done” in sign language. She’s 15 months and the second I put her in her chair she is telling me she’s “all done” and she gets mad when I’m not listening to her.

what really works for us is doing the "match game". my husband and I will get a matching piece of food and then hold it up to our toddler and say "match" and she will normally match that food and then we eat it. but she also listens to her body on when she is full.
