Japan has had great coffee all around in little no-name boutique stores. It’s been like that since the late 1940s, with a more widespread wave of small-craft obsession hitting in the late 60s onwards. Top consumer of blue mountain coffee. You can find shops that have single origin coffee from around the world and boutique roasteries everywhere. The chains like Saruhiko are A-tier too.
