The post says ‘according to our analysis,’ and that’s the part to be careful with, because an analysis of what Iran might do isn’t the same as a confirmed plan, and Iranian officials have said similar things many times, including in 2012 when a deputy military chief said Iran might launch a preemptive strike if it felt an attack was imminent.
