Welcome to the postpartum haunted house, where the jump scares are trying on your pre-pregnancy jeans and realizing they still don’t fit, only to put on your maternity clothes and find that they’re somehow two sizes too big. 👻😂 You open your closet hoping to find something to wear, but instead you’re greeted by a wardrobe full of clothes that fit a version of you that seems to exist in a completely different universe. Nothing fits quite right, your body is still changing, and somehow getting dressed has become its own emotional roller coaster. And nobody really prepares you for this part of postpartum. You’re figuring out your new body, navigating motherhood, running on questionable amounts of sleep, and just trying to feel like yourself again. Some days you feel great, other days you just want to live in leggings and an oversized sweatshirt forever. It’s such a strange in-between stage, and sometimes you just need to know you’re not the only one standing in front of your closet wondering what on earth you’re supposed to wear. I’m so glad I found a community of moms who actually understand these little struggles without needing an explanation.
