My biggest concern with the DA and FF Plus is their opposition to race-based transformation policies such as B-BBEE and employment equity. Apartheid deliberately excluded Black South Africans from land ownership, quality education, economic opportunities, and positions of power. Those inequalities did not disappear in 1994. Economic growth, fighting corruption, and creating jobs are important, but so is correcting historical injustice. We cannot talk about equality while ignoring the lasting economic consequences of apartheid. True progress must deliver both economic growth and meaningful transformation.
