@krassenstein: The truth about election night. Everyone needs to understand this. #election #elections #breakingnews #wtf

Can we community note that

Zoë Vaughter :

Exactly! In 2024 I was surprised that I knew around 8pm CST 'that' guy had "won". In previous years it would be late into the night before news outlets would 'call it' for a particular candidate in most states because of mail-in, late votes etc. Also in past elections I thought news stations waited until the west coast polls had closed before proclaiming a 'winner' in any state. I don't remember this happening in the 2024. It seemed strange going to bed pretty much knowing who had won. Almost all states seem to have had most their votes counted early in the evening.

We’re in the home stretch folks. It’s been a long and horrible 2 years, let’s wrap this up and start moving forward again.

We find out way too soon for what should have been a highly competitive election in 2024. It’s usual for it to take time or for it to change throughout the night.

Wait for the final results

hersheymilkington :

That’s how counting works.

Absolutely 💯 💙💙💙 MAGAts are scared

mail in ballots should be for military members currently on a deployment, no one has an excuse not to vote in person. I do think it needs to be easier for the elderly and disabled people to vote but not by mail.

Not Jake 24 :

It’s always been like that🤦🏽‍♂️FDT

Roll Tide Girl :

We should go back to paper ballots. Still using vote machines is insane.
