I remember when my grandma got sick my parents would pick us up from school and we would head straight to Cook County Hospital. I would eat here. I would do my homework here until my grandma passed. Circa 1994

As a paramedic the level 1 trauma was one the 3rd floor. A RN would grab a key to be able to call for the elevator and the elevator operator (yes they had a person drive the elevator) and everyone was kicked off the elevator for the trauma.
