Can we agree that two things can be true at the same time? Notice you said, “as a young ghetto youth.” So Canada might have created a better experience for you and others who came from similar backgrounds. However, some people came from different circumstances in Jamaica, so they might not feel that Canada has created a better life for them. I have lived here for 13 years, and over the past five years, Canada has become very expensive. Even people in the middle class are struggling. So now, those who were not struggling financially in Jamaica are asking themselves, “If I am paying almost the same prices for food and rent in Canada as I would in Jamaica, am I really better off living here?” It doesn't mean they're ungrateful. They may simply be speaking their truth based on their own experiences. Two things can be true at the same time. Your experience doesn't invalidate someone else's.

They are all showing off, because most of them did not live anywhere in Jamaica now have a house or apartment. I live here for over 40 years, and I love my new homeland, I could never go back to Jamaica to live.

I commented this exact thing on someone post few days ago, because I could never talk bad about Canada. I came to Canada with only high school diploma and now I work in finance at one of the largest corporate companies in Canada, I own rental properties, sometimes I can’t believe this is my life all thanks to the opportunities I’ve had in this country

Finally someone who isn’t putting down Canada. Yes Canada isn’t perfect but it is a very different lifestyle from Jamaica and that has to be considered when choosing to move here

I’m grateful for Canada got my pr, joined the reserves while working at the ups warehouse loading trailers, It was tough in the beginning but now I got my az for free being in the reserves, driving the same trailers I used to load. Applied for my citizenship just waiting to do the test now 💯🙏
