I used to question my own Christianity. Lately, I’ve realized I’m a very good Christian, and I’m secure enough in my faith to allow others to practice their chosen faith in peace. It literally has no affect on me, or my faith.

interestingly, I grew up "Christian-ish" (my parents grew up Catholic, left the religion before I was born, and so we celebrated some things in a more cultural way, I never practiced. I voluntarily took a college class on the Bible, because it has so much influence on literature, and it was genuinely interesting. ... didn't make me want to convert. but interesting. (this was 20+ years ago. I don't think there was a class of the Quran)

I only wish everyone could be this rational and understanding. I dislike that we use the term Christian as a blanket term. I grew up in the United Church of Christ and consider myself a New England Congregationalist. That is a very different style of Christianity than Evangelical and others who are demanding these things. I just want people to be kind and treat others with respect, I don’t care if they have a religious belief or not.
