@hypewhip_1: 🏁 The fastest way around a corner is almost never the shortest one. The racing line uses the full width of the track to make each corner as gentle as possible. You enter from the outside edge, clip the apex on the inside, then let the car run back out to the outside on exit. That wider arc lets you carry more speed through the turn and get on the power earlier. Drivers also play with where they put the apex: a late apex means turning in later, giving up a little entry speed for a faster run down the next straight.
